Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

When I was younger and used to hiking in Stone Mountain a lot, I felt super close to nature. I would go with a lot of friends and my whole family. Sometimes we would hike at sunrise, and sometimes we would even do sunsets. I also feel close to nature at the lake. Many times I would take a boat out and just sit near the water and look at the birds flying. It made me feel so peaceful and calm. I love the water. It is my faviorate fact about nature. It changes my perspective because it makes me calm down and appreciate things. Today in class, we had this big assignment. We worked on it all class. Today I learned some Mandarin.

In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

I had to set a boundary with my friend. We hung out to much and it was bringing my grade down. It got bad so me and him started to distance. It was hard at first because I had hung out with him every day for a long time. We understood this was for our benefit. After some time the grade came back up and we started hanging out more. Since then its been fine and my grades haven't fallen. Today in class we did a common lit. I also completed this blog post. Today I learned how to post french words.

Prompt: Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

My life changed more quickly than I expected when one of my closest friends passed away. No one could have expected it, and it really made my life go into a turn. My family changed, my friends changed, and I myself changed as well. This connects to Frost's ideas because this led me to a path I wish I could have gone back on. Like saying goodbye to her. I wish I could've gone back and said goodbye one last time, but I didn't. Could've never have guessed what would happen that night. Today in class, we read 2 poems. We also completed a worksheet. Today I learned the fastest way home from Cross Keys.

Prompt: As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

My faviorate word is aesthetic. I use this word a lot to describe anything visually pleasing. I had used it before this class. I also use it because it makes me appear to have a rich vocabulary. Sometimes people ask me what it means, and I just say something looks good, but still not sure if I should use that answer. My parents like it when I use big words, so when I use aesthetic, they get happy. It makes me look smart to them. Today in class, we worked on our presentations. I also listened to music.  Today I learned how to drive to Lake Oconee.

MAKE UP FOR DAY I MISSED(10/10)Prompt: How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

Something I do to enjoy my day is doomscrolling. It's not really an answer to boredom, nor does it fix it. But it definitely takes care of some of my dopamine. It's not productive nor really good for you. I do it just when I want to relax and drift away for a little while. Another thing I do is play Clash Royale. It's this super addictive game that almost all guys play. You can challenge friends and level up, and it's also really addictive. I will also call friends when I am at peak boredom. I'll talk about random things with them, but it'ss just to pass the boring time away.  Today in class, I waited for the bell for the break.d on'tont know what else we did because this was 2 weeks ago. Today I learned how to not procrastinate.

In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Imagination helps me cope with stress because it distracts me. When I am stressed, I want to take my mind off things. I'll imagine being at the lake. I'll imagine being on the boat. Imagination can also work with boredom because I get bored a lot. When I'm boredI'llll rewatch movies in my head. I'll even try to make movies in my head. It helps me cope with challenges by helping me find a way to solve them. Today in class, we read a super long poem. We also annotated it. Today I learned what a wheel bearing is.

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

A high-pressure time was when our lacrosse team was playing Mt Vernon. The game started off fast with goals from both teams. Players could already sense the tensions rising between each other. Then the trash-talking started, and it really got conflicting during the game. There were late hits left and right, and even some illegal hits. My friend Trey got laid out by the goalie, and it was insanely illegal, so they put the starters in for man up. One of the biggest pressures is going in during man up when you are one of 2 who aren't senior starters. We go on and hear the plan and start passing the ball. The pressure to catch a ball when everyone is watching is something else. The ball goes around twice and then rests with me. I looked up, and thereweren'tt any players on me because the slide was late. I started running towards the go, all getting ready to shoot. I see this long stick coming right for me, so I just let it fly. My stick banged against his helmet, but the ball was ...

What did you do over fall break?

I went to Tybee Island with my family. We stayed in this house that my mom's grandparents used to own. They sold it 20 years ago, but before that, my mom and her extended family went there for weeks every year. When she saw you could rent it, she did about 15 months ago. We had family come for a few days and then leave. When the room cleared up, other family members would come and fill the gaps. The house was full for 10 days straight. We brought down one of our boats, and when I got tired of the family, I would just take it out for a ride. I left Friday night because I had SAT tutoring on Saturday. Friday night, I also went to Six Flags. I didn't do anything else on Saturday and Sunday. Today in class, we worked on this comic strip. I used my free pass because I can't draw for the life of me. Today I learned what the homework pass can do for me.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

I went to a church camp and there was the key note speaker. I have been to many church camps before and ive listened to a lot of speakers. So i didnt think I would connect with this one so well. That was not true. I dont know how to explain it but her words were so influential on me. She helped me understand and even deepen my faith in god. I waiting everyday until I could hear her speak that night. This was 3 years ago and I can still remebeer every sermon perfectly. Today in class we completed a writable assignment. It was about writing a argumentative essay. Today I learned how to tighten a hex nut.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Over the summer I went to a camp in switerland. I went to improve my french. When I got there I was really nervous because I was the only american there. I was also the only native english speaker. I was not confident at all with my french even though that was the most common language. Well that and german. I had to use my french to speak to people and it was really a new expiernce for me. I really learned from all these new kids I met and what lives were like outside of America. By the end of the week I made some friendships I would never forget and memories impossible to forget. Today in class we completed a assignment in writable. We also talked about killing in the name of good. Today I learned bmw stick shift.

Write about a dream that felt real.

I once had a dream about me having the ability to teleport. It was one of the most real things I have ever expierinced. I still remeber it so well which is why I feel like it was so real. Usually after a good dream I dont remeber is shortly after waking up but this one I could never forget. I would teleport to school and always was the first in the breakfest line. I wouldnt walk anywhere and I still remeber how jealous my freinds were. It felt so casual that I could do it. The day went as normal excpet that I just teleported everywhere. I would teleport to my room between classes and change my clothes or grab a snack. I came home and had dinner and then went to bed. When I went to bed I woke up and tried teleporting. This time I was really awake and realized it was a dream. Today in class we made sentences with vocab words. We also completed a newsela assignment. Today I learned that life 360 knows when I check my phone.

Write about something you’ve always been curious about

I have always been so curious about how cars work. The engineering behind it has always intrigued me. This is why I want to work on cars because it is just so fascinating to me. I always wondered how people from so long ago discovered how to build the engine. Like who thought of makin little explosions convert to power to spin a crankshaft into the axle. It is just so intresting to me. I want to be able to understand everything about a car. Today in class we used our chromebooks to finish our work. We typed our own argument essay. Today I learned the backroads to Decatur.

Write about the best gift you have received.

2 years ago, my dad bought a golf cart. I had been begging for one for years. It was one of my dreams. All my friends had one, and I was so jealous. Every day at the lake, I would drive everyone's golf cart. I would beg and beg. So when I unwrapped the box and saw golf cart rims, I flipped out. I said where and heard it was up the street. I full sprinted up there so fast. It was the best thing ever. I drained it that day, and we had to leave it in a driveway because it died on me, 3 miles from my house. I was just too eager to drive it. Today in class, we took a quiz. We also took some notes on body paragraphs.  Today I learned how to find forces acting upon a box.

Prompt: Write about a conversation that changed you.

A conversation that changed me was one with this random guy on the street. I was walking my dog when this man and his dog stopped me. He asked me a couple questions ahout my dog. I was friendly and started talking back with him. It was a good conversation. He started telling me stories when he was my age. We talked for awhile and it really just opened my eyes. It made me want to use my time wisly and to make expiernces. We finished up talking and he wished me a good day and I went on with my life. Today in class we used our computers. My friend and I also wounldnt stop talking and the teacher got onto us. Today I learned how to speed tie my shoe.
