Write about the best gift you have received.

2 years ago, my dad bought a golf cart. I had been begging for one for years. It was one of my dreams. All my friends had one, and I was so jealous. Every day at the lake, I would drive everyone's golf cart. I would beg and beg. So when I unwrapped the box and saw golf cart rims, I flipped out. I said where and heard it was up the street. I full sprinted up there so fast. It was the best thing ever. I drained it that day, and we had to leave it in a driveway because it died on me, 3 miles from my house. I was just too eager to drive it.

Today in class, we took a quiz. We also took some notes on body paragraphs.

Today I learned how to find forces acting upon a box.

Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

Words shape how we think, write, and interpret literature. Think about a time when learning a new word or understanding a specific term helped you better analyze a text, express an idea, or make your writing stronger.
