Think about a moment when your understanding of your family changed as you got older. How did that shift impact your perspective, and how does that connect to Chris’s realization about his parents in Chapter 11?

I started realizing how supportive my parents really were. I was getting to an age where I was aware of peoples relationships with their parents. I could see my friends constantly arguing with their parents. With mine I never would argue but would talk to them. It made me feel like I was being heard. This is different from Alex because his parents kept secrets. With his dad he never felt like he fully connected.

Today in class we read some of the books. We also got this really long assignment.

Today I learned where to find a U-joint.
