Prompt: In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

I once looked up 'Florida Man' on December 10th. What came up first was a Florida man who used a flamethrower to settle a dispute in the parking lot. At first, I laughed because it was just such a random thing to have on hand. Realized that lives were in danger and people got seriously hurt. Others reacted the same way. I think human behavior, at least for me, I try laughing before any other emotions. In even hardcircumstancesns I still try to find a way to laugh.

Today in class, we finished the story. We also complete a STEAL chart.

Today I learned about an interesting story involving sleeping next to a dead body for 35 years.
