Reflect on your reading of Into the Wild chapters 1–10. Which chapter stood out to you the most, and why? In your response, explain what specifically made this chapter meaningful, interesting, or impactful. You may consider elements such as McCandless’s actions, a key event, a theme, or Krakauer’s storytelling.

Alex stood out to me the most because he was an adventurous young man. We aren't the same age but we are close and it makes me try to put myself in his shoes. I try to imagine how my parents would react if I had just left college, gave all the money away, and vanished without any supplies. I compare this to my parents and see how fast I would get in trouble. Then I realize I live my own life and they can't control it. The most impact thing for me was just him making the decision to leave. He felt strongly and made his mind fast. This impacts me because I am a very indecisive person and often have to consult with friends to help me choose.

Today in class we took a test. We also watched March madness.

One thing I learned today was that Chuck Norris died.
