Now that you have completed the rhetorical analysis essay, reflect on your growth. Explain how this experience impacted your confidence as a writer and whether you feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature. Support your reflection with specific references to the writing process.

I feel like coming out of this I will feel more confident as writer. I am starting to unconsciously notice the emotions (pathos, logos, ethos). I feel from the essay I will remember quotes like "chorus of cynics" and calling them a "A loud voice but not a powerful one." I understand that continuing to read complex literature is still difficult for me, I will get better the more I do it. Another complex piece we've done was Trumps speech. This was one of the more complex than others as I never paid attention to the poems. It was a big chance for my progressive literature because the last book I have read was Harry Potter.

Today in class we wrote our essay on the rhetorical analysis of Barack Obama's "Yes, we can" speech delivered in New Hampshire. That took up my attention for the whole class.

Today I learned how to find the rectangular coordinates with questions on ellipses.
