After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.
So we were in my friend's jeep. No, jeeps are not reliable, nor are they very safe. My friend was very confident in his car and said it goes super fast. So we were speeding up very slowly(it is a jeep) and we got to about 103 miles an hour. Everything was fine until that pothole appeared. We hit it, and the wheel jerked, and the whole car went sideways. We were screaming and thought we were gonna flip, but he jerked the wheel the other way. We flew onto 2 wheels and were going side to side. In that moment, everything flashed before my eyes. This was not bold; it was very foolish. Somehow, the jeep didn't flip over, and we straightened it back out, but we were in the shoulder lane and slowed down. We left the highway and stopped driving to shake all the adrenaline off.
Today in class, we watched 2 YouTube videos. We also read a poem with a funky layout.
Today I learned how to connect a U-Joint.
