Describe a time you felt completely lost.

I felt completely lost many times. One of the most significant was when I was a little kid. My family was at this spy thing and like it had cool chutes and stuff. Like I felt like a spy and there were so many kids around me. So when I went into the chute the last time I came out and my parents were no where to be seen. I started panicking even running around the whole place looking for them. Finally I asked a older woman to borrow her phone. She let me call my parents and after the third ring I heard my moms voice. It calmed me and I told her I was lost and couldnt find them. She told me they were right where they had been. It was the entrance to the chute. I had just run past them. I gave her the biggest hug ever.

Today in class we presented our PowerPoints. We all sat quietly and let the other groups present.

I Learned today how to square a parenthesis the right way which is good because I have been doing it wrong for a long time.

Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

Words shape how we think, write, and interpret literature. Think about a time when learning a new word or understanding a specific term helped you better analyze a text, express an idea, or make your writing stronger.
